Importing Point Cloud

Hi,

I have a point cloud with 500k points.  I removed duplicates in X and Y directions.  When I load the points, there is something wrong.  It looks ok in plan view, but when you rotate it, it all goes vertical.  Same if you use cross-section tool.  Hard to explain, but what is the best way to import a x,y,z point cloud in order to create a DTM?   Thanks

Hi Eric. This is a common problem if your coordinates are in decimal degrees. Since Micromine is inherently unitless, your elevation will be in meters but the difference in your X and Y is in tiny fractions of a degree. I suggest that you convert your coordinates to UTM so that X-Y and Z are all in the same units.
