made a mistake on project units

I routinely work with metric measurements. Whenever I set up a new project, the option for units defaults to metric. However, recently I started a new project with a data set whose locations and measurements are in feet. Working by habit, I forgot to change the units option to "imperial" when I set up the project.

Once I realized what I had done, I looked through all the menu options I could think of, and looked through the offline and online help, for a way to change the project units to imperial. I couldn't find one.

Is there a way to change the units of an existing project, or is my only recourse to start a new project from scratch?

Hi Peter,

The easiest way to put the project back into imperial mode is to add this empty text file to the project:

Next time you start Micromine, your project will be treated as imperial.

Wow! Thank you Frank.

That is a simple, but obscure trick. Perhaps it could be made easier to find that information in the help system?
