Russian Cyrillic Characters Showing as ??????? in File Names
I am using the English version of Micromine 16 Service Pack 5 64 bit. In Windows 7, Cyrillic characters are showing up fine. But in Micromine, Cyrillic characters are showing up as ????. On all of my working colleagues Micromine set-ups, they are able to view Cyrillic characters without any problems. They are using Service Pack 4.
I hope someone can help me solve this issue.
Thank you,
Brendan
Answer

Micromine 2016 needs to have the "Language for non-Unicode programs" Region and Language setting set to Russian. You can access this via the Windows 7 control panel:
If you wish to run the Russian version of Micromine the same setting is required. This is obviously also the case for Chinese, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese and French versions of Micromine too.
Micromine is currently being upgraded to be a full Unicode application. This will mean this setting won't need to be configured when working with multi-lingual projects. This improvement will be available in a future major release.
